A passionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Tania is currently completing her practicum portion of the master’s program in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Tania has always had a deep interest in psychology and mental health for as long as she can remember. Throughout her life, she has developed a strong understanding of the unique challenges that people face in their lives and the importance of providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to explore their feelings and emotions.
Tania's therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic and person-centered therapy, which emphasizes empathy, acceptance, and genuineness. She believes that every individual has the capacity for growth and change, and her role as a therapist is to facilitate that process through collaboration, active listening, and empowering her clients to make positive changes in their lives.
Tania’s area of focus includes clients dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, loss, and self-esteem issues. She uses a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gestalt Therapy to support her clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
In her free time, Tania enjoys hiking, working out, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends. She is excited to be embarking on this new chapter in her career and looks forward to helping her clients achieve greater well-being and fulfillment in their lives.
