Massage Practitioner

Space available: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and weekends are also available.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Massage Practitioner to join our wellness family on a temporary OR permanent basis. We have patient loads for 2 full-time RMTs whom are currently on leaves (maternity and personal) and our PATIENTS REALLY WANT MASSAGES! 

As a Massage Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be to help patients achieve relaxation and promote overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform kneading and massaging of muscles and soft tissues to provide relaxation and stress relief.

• Utilize a variety of hands-on techniques to reduce pain and promote relaxation.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient health and treatment options using our digital system called Jane.

• Clearly explain relaxation techniques to clients to maximize the benefits of massage therapy.

• Collaborate and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed to ensure the best quality care for patients.

• Assess, reassess, and provide treatments under the guidance of the team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Reach out to past clients via email or phone to check on their well-being and offer support.

• Serve as a role model and refer clients to other healthcare practitioners within the clinic or local community as appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Professional Liability Insurance;

• Valid CPR and First Aid maintained throughout employment;

• Experienced in multiple forms of massage is an asset;

• Strong oral/verbal communication and interpersonal skills between patients and practitioners;

• Must maintain their own point of sale system (i.e. Square, Jane Payments) and remit monthly commissions to the clinic; and

• Exhibits professionalism and commitment to treatment with integrity, honesty, and loving care.
