Chantal Wade (BAH, MSW, RSW)
Individual and Family Psychotherapist
Certified Yoga Instructor

Chantal has always wanted to work with others in a therapeutic environment. As a result, she began volunteering with children, youth and adults in a variety of locations, including public schools, community counseling centers, sexual abuse crisis centers, and women’s shelters.
After completing a two-year Master’s program at the University of Toronto, Chantal worked in a community agency with youth and families for six years. She specialized in working with presenting issues such as trauma-related stress, anxiety, depression, anger management issues, and family conflict. Chantal has also been trained in mindfulness meditation, and brings an understanding of the usefulness of mindfulness meditation both for herself and for her clients.
Another passion of Chantal’s has been yoga its therapeutic benefits, and this led her to pursue a career as a yoga teacher. She is currently completing her yoga teacher training at Ahimsa Yoga with the wonderful J-P Tamblyn, and will be certified as a yoga instructor in April 2011. Chantal currently offers private sessions and small group sessions, and is available to teach classes.
Chantal is licensed through the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and her psychotherapy services are covered by most insurance plans.
